There’s no one better at talking gadgets than David Pogue. And perhaps there’s no one better in the talking space at distilling the most important points and bringing them home.
Right now the question posed of every so-called ‘smartphone’ is “does it kill the iPhone?” Pogue’s obviously far more impressed with this phone than many other recent entries, but don’t expect it to wage a coup. It really comes down to what you’re willing to sacrifice to have an ‘open’ ecosystem phone from Google or anyone else that might step into the breach.
I’m sorry to say it, but in this case I really could care less. Better is better.
